Project details
IR-design has succeeded in creating an intimate and warm atmosphere in the large space of Van der Valk Zuidas Amsterdam – The Netherlands, with its high columns and ceilings. In a space like this, where one could easily feel lost, they have designed an environment with style and class that invites you to sit and stay. The interior is timelessly decorated, with warm wood tones, round sofas, and furniture in various upholstery patterns and colours, perfectly coordinated with the base colours. The space feels as if you are walking through a 1930s film set, with lime green and petrol blue shades.
A key contributor to the atmosphere is The Pure Blue wallpaper by daisy james. This impressive piece of designer wallpaper, over 60 metres long and designed in one seamless piece without repeating patterns, features a subtle colour gradient that lightens from bottom to top. This effect is further enhanced by the round wall lights, which create a beautiful effect on the daisy james wallcovering, giving the space a unique look. We are proud of the final result and the successful collaboration with IR-design.
